Master of Coaching Degrees

My Degree and What it’s Good For

Coaching in the big leagues, in any sport, is a lofty goal, and is most often achieved by former players or people with a long history of work in the field. Coaching high school or college ball, or even little league or a recreational team, is very attainable, though, and if you love a sport, what could be better than teaching others how to play it and crafting a strategy for your team? A Master of Coaching degree program will include courses like leadership, sports psychology, and management, and will take between 40-60 credit hours.

My Earning Potential

The Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the median annual salary for coaches and scouts at $28,340. As a national statistic, this number includes the salaries of middle and high-school coaches and all levels of amateur and professional coaches as well. The salaries for pro coaches are much higher, but the competition is much more intense for those positions.
